The children were quick to notice our new posters this week – even before we shared them in asssmbly! The posters remind us how to keep The St Joseph’s Way as we move around our school – inside and out!
Reception had so much fun welcoming our parents to our Maths lessons this week. We have been investigating length and weight. Everyone worked really hard( including the parents)!
All of our classes added their heart to our Remembrance Rail this week during Prayer and Liturgy. The hearts have the names of the people we have been and will continue to remember during November.
Thank you to Year 3 who led our whole school Mass today – they did a wonderful job! We discussed how the story of Zacchaeus linked to Catholic Social Teaching and remembered people who have died as, November is a month dedicated to remembrance.
It was great to welcome the B-Tales to St Joseph’s today to share their Anti-bullying message with our KS2 children. The performance focused on how to stay safe online and the children really enjoyed it!
This week has been another busy week in school! In addition to learning about Fundamental British Values we’ve been actively taking part in Anti-bullying week! There has been lots of learning which ended with children wearing odd socks to school today!
Thank you to Year 5 who led our assembly today which was all about Universal Children’s Day – to be celebrated on Monday 20th November. The children connected UNICEF’s rights of the child to Jesus’ love for children and Catholic Social Teaching. A lovely assembly – thank you!
We’re proud of our Year 4 children who led Mass this week. The theme was being a servant, which gave us the opportunity to discuss how by serving and caring for one another we are being Jesus’ hands on earth.
