The Lent display in the hall

Today, Wednesday 26th February, is Ash Wednesday and marks the start of Lent.  In his homily Fr Louis reminded us that Lent is about Fasting, Praying and Giving Alms.  Father talked about each of these by saying fasting is about your relationship with yourself, getting yourself ready.  Praying is about strengthening your relationship with God and Giving Alms is developing your relationship with others.

During Lent in school we will be praying more during our Stations of the Cross additional assemblies, fasting and giving alms on CAFOD Lent Fast Day too.

One Year 2 child commented to Mrs Cheema after lunch on the playground that he thought she read her reading beautifully!
