Thank you!

It seems a long time ago now and a lot has happened since we carried out our charity events in March!

But we are pleased to announce that we raised a total of £346.31 from our Pancake Flip which we will split between charities the children have chosen and donated £122.75 to CAFOD from the pennies we collected on CAFOD Family Fast Day.

Thank you everyone for your support!

Mini Vinnies with Helen Peters

Friday, 24 May 2019

Children listening to Helen Peters

On Friday 24th May the Mini Vinnies met with Helen Peters who works with our local food bank.

The Mini Vinnies heard how the food bank is in need of food and resources and how they could help!

Helen gave the children lots of useful information and later on today they have already planned to do something to support Helen and her work!

We are grateful to Helen for coming in to talk to our children and we hope to work closely with her in the future!

CAFOD Lent Fast Day

Friday, 15 March 2019

CAFOD donation envelopes

On Friday 15th March the children all took part in CAFOD Lent Fast Day.

Everyone gave up their playtime snack during morning break time and donated pennies to CAFOD instead.  This act helps us to both fast and give alms – two of the things the church asks us to do during Lent.

Well done everyone for taking part.

Everyone from Nursery through to Year 6 was invited to get sponsored to complete the Pancake Flip in the hall to raise money as we prepared to enter the Liturgical season of Lent.

The donated tins of food

On Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th December the children and their families donated tins of food for the Good Shepherd Appeal in Wolverhampton.

Lots of families donated tins which the Good Shepherd Appeal will use to feed people who are homeless during the Christmas period.  We are very grateful for everyone’s generosity and proud that our families are so kind!

Thank you everyone!

Friday, 23 November 2018

The Mini Vinnies on their Charity Winter Walk!

On Friday 23rd November the children from the Mini Vinnies team in school took part in a Winter Walk to raise money for the SVP charity.

The idea came from the children who wanted to raise money for the SVP and thought a sponsored walk around the local area would be a good idea!

Well done Mini Vinnies for your great ideas to raise money for the SVP and taking part in the sponsored walk even when the weather was REALLY cold!

Our display of all of the tins donated

On Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th September the families of our school donated lots and lots of tins of food which we will send to the Good Shepherd Appeal in Wolverhampton who work with and help the homeless.

We are so grateful for the generosity that our families have shown in thinking about and helping others in our community who are in need.

We created a lovely display of all the tins for our Harvest Mass in school and the Good Shepherd Appeal helpers will be collecting the tins this week and putting them to very good use.

Thank-you everyone!
