Creation Guardians!

Today we gathered for our first Creation Guardian meeting. We started with a prayer and looked at the CAFOD website for information about the Season of Creation.
We talked about the Pope’s letter entitled ‘Laudato Si’ and how we can use this as our guide.
We also talked about St Francis being our inspiration and maybe getting a statue of St Francis for our meetings. We also talked about aour roles and responsibilities around school.

Mini-Vinnies!

On the feast day of St Vincent De Paul we re-launched our Mini-Vinnies Group! The children met together to discuss future projects both inside school and in the local community!

Harvest Mass

Well done to Year 4 who led our Harvest Mass today – they did a brilliant job! The children also created a lovely display, reminding us the harvest, St Vincent De Paul’s Feast Day and our focus MVVP Week!

Thank you to everyone who was able to donate food for our Harvest Mass today! We will be donating the food to The Good Shepherd Appeal in Wolverhampton.

Congratulations and thank you to Year 2 who led our assembly this morning. The children shared the story of Noah and how he trusted and listened to God. The children reminded us of what a good example Noah is to us in our lives today! Well done!

Parent drop in!

It was lovely to welcome so many parents to our after school drop in to meet the teacher! It was wonderful to see the children proudly showing their parents their classroom and pointing out their work on the displays! Thank you to everyone who was able to drop in!

Year 5 Mass

Well done to Year 5 who led our whole school Mass today. The children led the prayers and readings along with acting out the Gospel to help us to understand Jesus’ teachings. Thank you children!

Our school kitchen is cooking! We are SO happy to have a fully working kitchen at St Joseph’s – the first time in over 20 years! Thank you to our wonderful and talented kitchen staff who are cooking and preparing some wonderful food for our children to enjoy!

First Mass of the year!

Well done to our Year 6 children who led the first whole school Mass of the new academic year. The children did a wonderful job of sharing readings, leading the prayers and acting. We remembered the children who left us in July – as we promised we would – and remembered Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family too.
