Today we are celebrating the King’s Coronation! The children have been invited to come to school dressed as Kings or Queens, the bunting is up, we’ve a special lunch to look forward to, the children will be taking home a special gift to mark the occasion and King Charles himself popped in to see us too! 😂

Thursday, 1 March 2018On Thursday 1st March we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite characters from books, films and comics.
The children were invited to wear costumes of their favourite characters for the day in school and learn more about different authors and read some popular stories together.
The children all had a wonderful day!
Safer Internet Day
Tuesday, 6 February 2018Tuesday 6th February was Safer Internet Day!
All of the children in school completed work and activities learning about how to stay safe online, including creating leaflets and posters.
The children have a good understanding of what information they should and should not share online in order to keep themselves safe.

Wednesday, 12 July 2017On Monday 10th July Hagley Band visited St Joseph’s with their Music teacher Mr Mallinson.
The band had a 50’s theme and the children from Hagley sang and played many famous hits from the 50’s!
It was a great event which was enjoyed by all the children and staff!
EYFS Disney Day
Friday, 7 July 2017On Friday 7th July the children from Nursery and Reception dressed up as their favourite Disney and superhero characters.
The children had been completing work and tasks on a Disney theme all through the week and ended the week by dressing up as their favourite characters!

Friday, 26 May 2017On Monday 22nd May following our whole school RNLI assembly, Year 1 had a special workshop in their classroom.
Caroline, a volunteer form the RNLI, worked with the children to teach them how to be safe around all kinds of water – but especially the sea.
This was a very important workshop for the children as they prepare for their visit to Clevedon later this year!
