Praying the Rosary

During the month of October the children have been dedicating part of every day to pray and learn about the mysteries of the Rosary.

October is one of the months that we dedicate to Our Lady and each day throughout the month the children have been learning about a different mystery (story) in the life of Mary and Jesus.

Children are really enjoying listening and learning about the mysteries and taking some quiet time for prayer during the busy day in school.

Supporting CAFOD

On Friday 9th October the children donated money to CAFOD for CAFOD’s Harvest Fast Day.

During the day the children ‘fasted’ their playtime snack to help them to understand what it feels like to be hungry for a little while and donated pennies and pounds to CAFOD.

The children also learned even more about the work of CAFOD and why they really need and value our support!

Well done children!

The display during the service

On Wednesday 7th October the Catholic children from Year 4 received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time before they will receive First Holy Communion in a couple of weeks.

It was a beautiful service led by Fr Louis and the children all felt very close to God during the service and when they had some quite time in the prayer after afterwards.

Congratulations Year 4.

Year 4’s Gathering

Friday, 2 October 2020

On Friday 2nd October the children from Year 4 prepared a prayer partner gathering for their prayer partners in Year 1.

As we are still operating in class bubbles the children from Year 4 prepared all of the readings, music, a booklet and a beautiful display, then carried out their gathering which was recorded and sent to Year 1 to enjoy!

We are so very pleased that the children can still gather together – albeit virtually!
