Friday, 25 June 2021On Friday 25th June the children from Year 4 went to work in the Bible Garden!
The children did some weeding and then worked together to plant some lovely wild flowers which we hope will grow and bloom very soon!
The children enjoyed their time in the peaceful bible garden and appreciated the wonderful gifts that God has given to us.

Friday, 24 May 2019On Friday 24th May the children from Nursery went to work in the Bible Garden with Mr Gilbert!
The children did some weeding and planted some new seedlings which they will water and take care of so they can harvest them next term!

Friday, 15 February 2019On Friday 15th February the children from Year 4 went into the Bible Garden to harvest their winter lettuce with Mr Gilbert.
The Lettuce had been carefully protected from the frost and all of the bad weather and Year 4 were able to collect a good harvest!
Well done Year 4 – and Mr Gilbert!

Monday, 10 September 2018On Monday 10th September we harvested our first produce from our bible garden – a huge marrow measuring over 50cm in length!
Our current Year 6 planted the marrow seeds last year and have been overwhelmed with the size of their harvest!
The children are planning how to cook the marrow with Trudy our catering manager so they can enjoy their harvest!

Wednesday, 5 September 2018On Wednesday 5th September the signs were fitted in our Bible Garden.
In our special garden each class has a growing area where they can grow different flowers, fruit and vegetables which are mentioned in the bible e.g. peas, winter lettuce, garlic and onions.
On each of the classes growing areas what is being grown at particular times of the year is listed along with the bible quote.
Reception class are growing onions and garlic, “We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic.” – Numbers 11.6
EYFS gets planting!
Thursday, 3 May 2018On Thursday 3rd May the children from Nursery and Reception worked with Guy from the e-Zone in our school garden.
The children took time to take out any weeds and plant some new vegetables which we hope to harvest before we break up for the summer!
