Brilliant in Britain Week

As part of our Brilliant in Britain week work the children from Year 3 worked together to produce some beautiful art work based on their learning about Nelson Mandela! Well done Year 3!

Well done Year 6!

Well done to Year 6 who led our Mass in school today celebrated by Fr Louis. The children were active in their acting of the Gospel, eloquent in their reading and faith-filled in the way they led the whole school in prayer. Thank-you Year 6!

Well done Reception!

Well done to Reception class who shared their very first assembly this morning! They did a wonderful job of sharing the story of Noah’s Ark and reminded us of why we should be like Noah and out our trust and faith in God.

Prayer Bags!

Year 1 will be taking home a prayer bag today! This is a special gift from the school for the children to keep. Inside each bag is a candle, cloth, activity sheet – worth 50 house points if returned to school completed – and a prayer card all about Pope Francis!

Safer Internet Day

Today is Safer Internet Day! Although our children learn how to stay safe online through every computing unit of work, today they did a little bit extra! The theme this year is ‘Together for a better internet.’ The children learned even more about how our online behaviour can impact on both ourselves and others.

Prayer Partner Gathering

Year 6 led a gathering for their prayer partners in Year 3 today. The theme was active and curious – our values for this half term. Year planned the readings, videos to share, invitation to the gathering, activities, songs and created a lovely display! Well done Year 6!

Year 1 you were amazing! Year 1 led our Mass this morning and did so brilliantly! Beautiful readings, acting, playing the instruments and bringing the offertory. Fr Louis was so very proud of you too!

Jubilee Celebrations

On Sunday 6th February the Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee. It’s the start of many celebrations planned up until June. In celebration the children came to school dressed as Kings or Queens, or wore red, white and blue. The children all learned about the Queen and her life, sang the National Anthem and enjoyed a traditional fish and chip lunch with special cup cakes!
