During Merit, Prayer and Liturgy this morning we were reminded of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si. We watched CAFOD’s video and thought about how we can help our Creation Guardians in answering Pope Francis’ call to look after our common home.

MAC Feast Day Mass!

Today our Year 2 children led our special MAC feast day Mass! We were joined by children and staff from: St Chad’s, St Mark’s, St Bernadette’s, St Mary’s and St John Bosco Primary Schools along with members of the Central and Central Executive Team to celebrate the feast day of St John Bosco! Following Mass it was lovely to be able to enjoy a little tea party together too!

Creation Guardians

Our Creation Guardians mean business! They are always on patrol and if you’re caught leaving lights on in rooms your not working in, projectors on when not needed you might get a warning! Repeated offenders may also be served with a notice to pay a fine to the Creation Guardians chosen charity! Be warned! 😁

Well done to everyone from Year 4 who shared a wonderful assembly all about St John Bosco – who celebrates his feast day next Tuesday! The children shared lots of information about St John Bosco and we talked about the reasons why he was chosen to be the patron Saint of our Academy!

Well done to Year 3 who shared their learning about Martin Luther King in our gathering this morning. It’s Martin Luther King day on Monday and Year 3 reminded us of his quest for equality and how he campaigned in a peaceful way – just as Jesus would! Thank you Year 3!
