Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Congratulations to Reception class who raised a fantastic £248 for Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity by hosting a Teddy Bear's Picnic. Everyone had a lovely time which was made extra special by knowing they are making a difference to others.
Discipleship Week
We started our special Discipleship Week by learning about Pope Leo’s Encyclical Magnificat Humanitas. This week we’ll be thinking about what being a disciple means and how God calls us to live out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
Pupil Survey Results
It was great to share the results of our pupil survey this morning! We’re proud to share that 100% of our children feel safe at school, feel that we help them to be close to Jesus and would recommend our school to others!
Discipleship Dances – Part 2
Years 3,4,5,and 6 shared their Discipleship Dances this afternoon. Yr 3's disciple was Simon the Zealot, Yr 4 was Simon, Year 5 had Judas and Yr 6 showcased the meaning of Discipleship. Wonderful dances where pop music and the characteristics of Disciples came together!

Jigsaw Picnic
Joseph's Jigsaw had their trip cancelled today due to the heat. The children had a little trip out in the minibus before returning to school to enjoy a special picnic instead.
Year 3 Roman Day
Yesterday Year 3's trip was cancelled due to the heat. So, Mrs Stretton brought all the fun of a trip to the classroom! The children enjoyed their Roman Day by creating Roman cities from lego and designing and making shields!
Confirmation
A beautiful Confirmation Mass this evening with Bishop Timothy, Fr Samy and Fr Emmanuel. 20 children from Year 6 and 8 children from the parish received the Sacrament. It was wonderful to celebrate with so many families, children and staff.

Year 6 Reconciliation
Following Mass, Year 6 received the Sacrament of Reconciliation in preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation tomorrow. Please keep them in your prayers.
Year 3 Mass
Thank you to Year 3 who led our Mass this morning celebrated by Fr Samy and Fr Emmanuel. Year 3 read, acted, played instruments and led the offertory perfectly!

Day Trip!
Yesterday, some of the staff went on a day trip to Faro, Portugal 🇵🇹 Everyone had a beautiful time, and kept everyone from St Joseph’s in their thoughts and prayers as we visited a beautiful Chapel and found the statue of St Joseph.
Summer Fun
Thank you to everyone who came to support our Summer Fair tonight! We had fun surfing, face painting, playing games along with enjoying pizza and mocktails!
Reception’s Assembly
A beautiful assembly from Reception this morning about Noah’s Ark. the children shared the importance of listening to God and having faith that he will help us out if we keep hope in our hearts.
Year 5 Trip
Year 5 had a lovely time on their trip to Singers Hill Synagogue in Birmingham today. The children learned about the Jewish faith and were so very respectful. We are so very proud of them.
