Our Year 3 children visited the Buddhist Temple by bus today. Where possible we use public transport to support care for creation and to keep trip costs to a minimum. Twice on the journey there our children were told there wasn’t room for them on the bus. On the way home it happened again. It was hot and 30 tired children – and adults – just wanted to get home! That was when James Gordon (we hope that’s his name) stopped his number 7 bus to help! The adults all volunteered to leave the bus so the children could get on and seated. Then returned to the bus to stand. The kindness shown by the bus driver and the adults on the bus is exactly the message we teach the children – love one another. Thank you James and any adults on the number 7 bus – you did a beautiful thing today!
