Event - Ian Austin MP Visits Year 6

15 June 2012

On Friday 15th June 2012 Year 6 were visited by Ian Austin, our local MP.

He talked on a wide range of issues including Education and social housing as well as telling the children about what he does on a day to day basis and why he loves being an MP. He also spoke about his life growing up in Dudley and why he is so passionate about the town.

He then spent an hour answering questions about Parliament and his own life as an MP, before posing for photos with the children.

The children enjoyed the session enormously and were interested in how they could become MPs themselves... so watch this space!

The children were very keen to ask lots of questions.

Ian gave us lots of information.

All the children had a great afternoon.

We thanked Ian for taking the time to come and speak to us.
