Two Year 6 children with one of the huge marrows!

On Monday 10th September we harvested our first produce from our bible garden – a huge marrow measuring over 50cm in length!

Our current Year 6 planted the marrow seeds last year and have been overwhelmed with the size of their harvest!

The children are planning how to cook the marrow with Trudy our catering manager so they can enjoy their harvest!

Our lovely Bible Garden

On Wednesday 5th September the signs were fitted in our Bible Garden.

In our special garden each class has a growing area where they can grow different flowers, fruit and vegetables which are mentioned in the bible e.g. peas, winter lettuce, garlic and onions.

On each of the classes growing areas what is being grown at particular times of the year is listed along with the bible quote.

Reception class are growing onions and garlic, “We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic.” – Numbers 11.6
