Hagley Band Visit

On Monday 8th July children from Hagley Secondary School visited us to share a musical presentation which this year had a punk theme!

All of the children enjoyed learning about the theme of punk and about some of the instruments the children were playing.

The recorder concert!

On Tuesday 25th June the children from Years 1 and 2 shared all their learning about recorders with their families during a special concert.

The children performed songs which they had been learning and everyone was very impressed with their skills!

Year 5’s Concert

Year 5 during their concert

On Tuesday 26th February the children from Year 5 invited the rest of the children from Key Stage 2 and their parents to come into school to watch their concert.

During the last three half terms the children have been working with Mr C from Dudley Performing Arts in their music lessons to learn the guitar and today they showcased all they had learned!

Well done Year 5!

On Tuesday 26th February the children from Year 4 invited the rest of the children from Key Stage 2 and their parents to come into school to watch their concert.

Nursery and Reception enjoying the band!

On Tuesday 17th July the children from Nursery and Reception invited a brass band into school.

The brass band was a very special brass band where the musicians told the story of the Three Billy Goat’s Gruff to music!

The children listened and joined in with the music and story and had a wonderful time.

The children during their concert.

On Tuesday 10th July the children from Year 1 and 2 got the chance to demonstrate all of the recorder skills they have been learning this year during their music lessons.

Each week a teacher from Dudley Performing Arts comes into school to teach the children how to play the recorder and the concert was a perfect opportunity to share all of these new skills with parents!

The band in action!

On Friday 29th June the Reggae Band from Hagley Catholic Secondary School came to visit.

The band played lots of wonderful Reggae music and shared lots of information about the musical instruments they were playing and stories behind each of the pieces of music they shared.

It was lovely to spend some of the morning together with the band and listen to the lovely music they have worked so hard on making so good!

Year 6’s final performance!

On Friday 21st July during our Celebration of the School Year Assembly Year 6 preformed their Leavers Song which they first performed yesterday in their Graduation.

The children did so well in their performance and we wish them lots of luck and best wishes as they leave us and move on to their new schools in September.

On Monday 17th July the children from Years 1 and 2 shared all the songs they have been learning in their music lessons!

The children sang beautifully and played some lovely tunes on the recorders!
