Mr Hinton live form Poland!

On Tuesday 13th March we celebrated our link day with our partner school in Poland SP118.  The children all came to school dressed in red and white – the colours of the Polish flag.

During the day the children will be learning about famous Polish people who lived by our school values, tasting Polish food and completing other Polish focussed lessons.

During the day we held a special assembly where we had a live-link up to SP118 where we could see and talk to them and they could see and talk to us!  It was very special to see our friends who are so far away on the big screen in the hall!

One child commented, “I really liked seeing the children from SP118 as it makes our link even more real.”

The visiting teachers in the assembly

On Friday 13th October we held a special International Link Celebration Assembly to say goodbye to the teachers and Headteacher who are visiting from SP118 school in Poland.

During the assembly Year 6C acted out the new story we are sharing with SP118, Year 6M spoke about what they are grateful for, Year 4 sang, Years 3 and 5 shared posters that they had created and Reception shared a dance – Photos are on our Special Events page.

At the end of the assembly the teachers and Headteacher spoke about the wonderful week we have shared together.  We all agree that the link we have with SP118 is special – every child in the school now has a Pen Pal in SP118 who they video link and write letters too!

We are all very grateful that our link is so strong and pray that it continues to grow.
