EYFS Nativity Play

The children from Nursery and Reception

On Thursday 13th December during the morning and afternoon the children from Nursery and Reception performed their Nativity Play for their parents, friends and family members.

The children did a wonderful job of re-telling the Nativity story and we are vey proud of all of them!

Mission Team decides!

On Thursday 13th December the children from the Mission Team met together to have a look at the Mission Award applications for this half term.

The Mission Team looked very carefully at each application – and where there was any doubt the applicant was given the chance to explain their answers!

Well done Mission Team for taking the job of awarding the Mission Awards so seriously!

On Wednesday 12th December the children from Years 1 and 2 performed their Nativity Play for their parents, family and friends in the afternoon and evening time.

The children did a wonderful job of re-telling the Nativity story – well done everyone!

Father Louis’ Induction Mass

Father Louis’ Induction Mass

On Tuesday 11th December it was Father Louis’ special Induction Mass at Sacred Heart and Holy Souls Church in Tipton at 7pm.

The staff from school attended and were joined by some of the children who helped to create a special offertory procession by carrying lilies – a symbol of St Joseph.

We wish Father Louis a very happy time here in Dudley as our Parish Priest and School Chaplain.

KS2 Nativity Play

Our KS2 Nativity Play

On Monday 10th December the children from Key Stage Two performed their Christmas Nativity Play in the afternoon and the evening.

The children from Year 6 did a wonderful job of acting out the Nativity story and the children from Years 3, 4 and 5 did a great job of forming a superb choir!

Father Christmas comes to the Fair!

Father Christmas and his Elf!

On Friday 7th December we held our Christmas Fair here at St Joseph’s!

There were chances to have a go on various tombola’s including: chocolate tombola, teddy tombola, gift and bottle tombola’s, a toy stall, a café to buy a drink and a biscuit and our well loved BIG raffle with excellent prizes!

As well as the stalls we were visited by Father Christmas who came to see the children and give them some lovely gifts!

On Wednesday 5th December the children from Reception class prepared a special gathering for their prayer partners in Nursery.

The children talked about their special Advent promises and how they are getting ready for Jesus.

Year 4 and 2’s prayer partner gathering.

On Thursday 6th December the children from Year 4 led a special Advent themed gathering for their prayer partners in Year 2.

The children prepared readings, songs, a lovely display and even a lovely booklet to complete with their prayer partners.

Well done Year 4!

Reconciliation during Advent

Following Mass on Tuesday 4th December Father Louis stayed in school to hear Confession.

The Catholic children form Years 4, 5 and 6 were invited to receive Reconciliation with Father Louis as part of their getting ready preparation during this Advent season.

Year 5’s lovely altar display

.On Tuesday 4th December the children from Year 5 lead our first school Mass in the season of Advent.

The children did a wonderful job of writing the bidding prayers, reading, acting and bringing up the offertory – well done children.

The children also reminded us of the values of hopeful and faith-filled which we are learning even more about this half term.
