Year 5 during their assembly

On Friday 24th May it was the turn of Year 5 to lead our whole school assembly.

Year 5 focused on the feeling of sadness and how even Jesus felt sad when he came to earth.  The children acted out the story of Lazarus and how Jesus brought him back to life.

One Year 4 child commented, “We all feel sad sometimes, but we know Jesus is there for us.”

Well done Year 5!

Our Mission Award winners!

During our merit assembly on Friday 24th Maywe presented this half terms Mission Awards.

Children have had the opportunity to apply for a Mission Award by completing an application form which shows how they follow our school values and mission. Earlier this week the Mission Team met and looked over the applications and today the successful applicants received their medals!

We also have a number of children who have re-applied for the award and shown us even more ways they are supporting the mission of our school, so in recognition of all their hard work they were rewarded with a special certificate!

Well done everyone!

The children walked to Tesco and chose food and resources which they know will be gratefully received by the food bank!

Well done Mini Vinnies – you’ve really made a difference and helped other people!
